Reversible Electrolysis

Newsflash: The German firm Sunfire has delivered a steam electrolysis module to Salzgitter Flachstahl. The module transforms steam from waste heat into 40 cubic meters of pure hydrogen per hour. The hydrogen can be used in the steel production process.
The module can also be reversed into fuel cell mode with an output power of 40 Kilowatt.
The delivery is part of the Horizon 2020 project “Green Industrial Hydrogen via Reversible High-Temperature Electrolysis”.

The video also shows the power-to-liquids process at the premises of Sunfire in Dresden which contains a pressurized electrolysis module.
